John Bradfield, Director of Environmental Affairs Composite Panel Association (CPA)

What are the recent updates to formaldehyde regulations as applied to composite wood products? How do they affect me, the office wholesaler? Join us for this joint Webinar with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the Composite Panel Association (CPA) and find out!

In 2007, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) adopted a regulation to reduce emissions of formaldehyde from composite wood products. The regulation applies to three types of composite wood products: hardwood plywood, particleboard and medium density fiberboard. The emission standards are now in effect. CARB staff will summarize the regulatory requirements for distributors and retailers of composite wood products and how the regulation is being enforced.

The Composite Panel Association (CPA) represents manufacturers of particleboard and medium density fiberboard. John Bradfield, Director of Environmental Affairs, will explain how the CARB regulation affects manufacturers of these products and will provide an update on federal legislation that, if adopted, would make California’s emission standards apply nationwide.
