Whether you work in a hospital, long-term care or clinic organization, this webinar will provide you with an overview of how to respond to an adverse event. We will focus on how to convene and manage a root cause analysis (RCA) along with building a meaningful action plan with the intent of preventing the event in the future.

Rosie Emmons RN, BSN, CPHQ began investigating medical events in 1976 in response to regulatory and legal concerns. She started her quality journey in 1978 using information learned from investigations to guide improvement work. Rosie was with the Mayo Clinic for 20 years serving as staff nurse, Clinical Director, Care Coordinator with responsibilities in Quality. Rosie served 5 years at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota as Quality Management Coordinator and for the past 14 years has been the Quality Consultant for HealthEast Care System in the Twin Cities.
