Safety takes persistence and hard work, but you don’t have to do it alone. The National Safety Council wants to partner with you on the Journey to Safety Excellence® to bring your safety program to the next level. This webinar will explain why a focus on safety makes business sense. It will also go through our newly updated website housing free, practical tools and resources to help any organization looking to improve. Attendees will get to explore our three safety measurement tools, Journey Guide e-resources and an “Ask Us” feature. Whether your safety department is big or small, we are here to support you along the way.
Dr. Amy Harper has been with the National Safety Council for three years and is currently the Journey to Safety Excellence and Workplace Strategy Director. In her role, she oversees the planning, execution and promotion of the Council’s very first workplace advocacy initiative called the Journey to Safety Excellence® Campaign which currently has over 5,000 members. In addition, she is responsible for crafting the long-term strategy for the future of workplace safety at the National Safety Council.
Dr. Harper has been employed in the field of safety & health for nearly 20 years, having spent the majority of her career developing and delivering products and services in the insurance industry. Her experience varies from consulting with Fortune 500 companies as well as small businesses, to training, product development, marketing, and executive-level management. She holds a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Social and Organizational Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia.
