This webinar will discuss cultural humility in caring for the transgender patient, specific health care needs and approaches from a system, as well as a personal level on ensuring respect and affirmation of a patient's gender identity when coming to your setting for care.
This webinar will:
1. Discuss the specific health care needs of trans and gender nonconforming patients.
2. Discuss common terminology and the use of gender pronouns.
3. Present data on the community that impacts health outcomes.
4. Explore ways to deliver care that welcomes the trans/gender nonconforming patient, as well as barriers that exist in many settings and possible solutions to these barriers.
