Professional satisfaction is a powerful driver of quality of care, the patient experience and wise resource use, and as a result is of critical importance to health system leaders and practicing physicians alike. Improvements in clinical workflow, teamwork and leadership communication are among the most potent antidotes to burnout, which is widespread in health care. This session will describe practice transformation approaches that can help physicians and staff re-engineer their practices to better meet their mission, foster sound medical decision making, minimize error and increase provider quality time with patients-and yet go home earlier! When organizations prioritize professional satisfaction, they create an atmosphere that patients, staff and physicians can all enjoy.

This webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

  1. List key work conditions that contribute to burnout.
  2. Identify evidence-based interventions that improve work-life and clinician outcomes.
  3. Describe future opportunities for multiple stakeholders to advance the quadruple aim (improving clinician satisfaction and patient outcomes while reducing costs).
