Description

When you think of organizational culture, what comes to mind? Perhaps you think of a just culture or a learning culture. But, have you considered a patient safety culture? We know that culture impacts patients, care team members and business results. Many patient and quality organizations-including the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality-have focused on culture to improve patient care. In 2017, The Joint Commission released "Sentinel Event Alert 57: The essential role of leadership in developing a safety culture."

This webinar combines leadership considerations and best practices to enrich your culture for the benefit patients, team members and your organization.

Objectives:
This webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

  1. Articulate the impact culture has on patients, team members and your organization.
  2. Define key attributes of various cultural initiatives, such as learning culture, just culture and patient safety culture.
  3. Utilize ideas, methods and considerations to assess your organizational culture and consider ways to enhance it.
