Since 1921, Injury Facts has been the watchdog publication for preventable (accidental) death and injury in the United States. In 2018, Injury Facts™ moved online! The new website ( is a free resource featuring interactive charts and graphs, so visitors can explore and compare the data as never before.

Join Ken Kolosh, NSC Statistics Manager and the creator of Injury Facts, as he walks you through the website providing tips and tricks to get the most out of this free resource while exploring the latest trends, research and statistics. Among the trends Mr. Kolosh will highlight:

Ken Kolosh

Ken Kolosh directs statistical reporting and estimating systems at the National Safety Council. Mr. Kolosh also leads the development of Injury Facts, the Council's online statistical resource on preventable injuries, their characteristics and costs, which is updated annually.

Prior to joining NSC, Mr. Kolosh worked in the corporate e-learning industry. He served as advanced strategy and systems consultant with Element K and managing consultant with NETg's strategic services team. Mr. Kolosh was also senior researcher for NETg's research and development group.

Mr. Kolosh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and a Masters of Arts from Western Kentucky University. He is on the editorial board of the Council's Journal of Safety Research.
